KEY midfielder Mark Badman is available for Chippenham's Premier Division trip to Grantham but manager Steve White insists there is no guarantee of an immediate return to the starting line-up.

Injury and suspension have kept Badman out of action for much of the past month coinciding with a slight dip in form for the Bluebirds.

White said: "Mark has a big influence on the team because he's one of the few that can put his foot in.

"He also has the ability to fetch and carry the ball."

White has reservations about breaking up a winning team following the 2-1 triumph over Hinckley last week, but Ellis Wilmot's knee injury should mean the Town boss can accommodate Badman.

Colin Towler (back) is also struggling so Andy Robertson could step in.

Opponents Grantham are three points ahead of Chippenham at the wrong end of the Premier Division and White has already seen them at close quarters in the 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture at Hardenhuish Park last month.

He said: "We should have won that game because we were that much in charge in the first half.

"This is as big a game as you can get. Grantham are three points ahead of us so we have the chance to suck them back down to us."
