IVY House Lakes hosted the Angling Times Super Cup match between Bath team Imps, West End Chippenham and Lafarge Cement.
Lafarge turned in a splendid performance to take top spot and progress to the next round with a team weight of 57lb 6oz followed by Imps with 36lb 2oz and West End with 33lb 13oz.
Individual honours went to Trowbridge matchman Mick Gunning, of Lafarge, with a catch of small carp weighing 14lb 12oz, taken on pole-fished red maggots on an 18 hook.
Despite the bitterly cold conditions Ivy House fishery produced some excellent weights in the mid-week open match. Ivy House matchman Simon Collins gained a superb win with an all-carp catch weighing 65lb, taken alternating with pole-fished sweet corn and pellets.
Simon Jones, of Ivy House, was second with another carp catch weighing 43lb, taken on pole-fished pellets on a 14 hook.
Despite the cold conditions competitors enjoyed some good sport in the inter club event between Calne and Wootton Bassett at Hazeland on Sunday when chub fed well. Wootton Bassett gained a comfortable win with four of the top places filled by team members.
Individual honours on the day went to Calne matchman Simon Fear with an all-chub catch weighing 10lb 3oz, taken on stick-floated bronze maggots on an 18 hook.
The Avon at Chippenham was running gin clear for the Chippenham match on Sunday and fish proved hard to tempt.
Top honours on the day went to Wootton Bassett matchman Jason O'Dell with a mixed catch of bream and tench weighing 9lb 1oz, taken on feeder-fished bread flake on a 14 hook.
Runner-up Mick Ash, of Chippenham, used the same method to take an all-chub catch weighing 7lb 1oz.
He was followed by Calne matchman John Garner with an all-roach catch weighing 5lb 10oz 8dm, taken on Avon-floated punched bread on an 18 hook.
The Avon at Melksham fished very well on Sunday for the Avon inter-club match against Pucklechurch with roach feeding well. Avon took team honours with 42lb 15oz 8 dm to the visitors 31lb 7oz.
Individual honours went to Melksham matchman Pete Macey with an all-roach catch weighing 13lb 7oz, taken on stick-floated punched bread on an 18 hook.
Competitors in the Wilts Angling Open match had to break surface ice at Witherington Farm on Sunday but still enjoyed excellent sport with carp.
Top honours on the day went to Trowbridge matchman Steve Shaw with an all-carp catch weighing 60lb 2oz taken on pole fished red maggots on a 16 hook.
He was followed by Mick Martin, from Trowbridge, with another carp catch weighing 55lb 13oz, also taken on pole-fished red maggots on an 18 hook.
Chippenham matchman Steve Gardner took third prize with another carp catch weighing 40lb 8oz, taken on pole-fished catmeat on a 12 hook.
Other placings: 4 Ian Willetts, Bradford, 37lb 2oz; 5 Mick Higgins, Westbury, 32lb 2oz; 6 Vic Abbott, Trowbridge, 30lb 5oz.
