HEARTS and roses fill many of the shop windows as Chippenham gets into romantic mood for Valentine's Day on Saturday.
In Chippenham Town Council's Valentine window competition the winner in the national store contest was Birthdays, in Borough Parade, where the window was filled with teddy bears and red hearts.
In the independent category first was Concept Staffing in Market Place where staff all came up with an idea for a window.
Ann Watson created a display with underwear, Sarah Soper created a big Champagne bottle, decorated with Valentine phrases, Joanne Tanner filled her window with lips and Ben Carter made a scroll on which he inscribed a poem he wrote to his girlfriend, Natasha Buggins, including the names of lots of Chippenham pubs.
The British Heart Foundation came first in the charity section.
