IT will be all hearts and flowers at the wedding of Swindon couple Helena Gringell and John Farr, as they have chosen to get married on Valentine's Day.
Miss Gringell and Mr Farr, of Thetford Drive, Taw Hill decided to make their wedding even more romantic by picking Valentine's Day, and have even got a heart theme to the whole day.
Miss Gringell, 29, an administrative assistant, is planning an extravaganza of red and gold hearts.
She said: "We booked the wedding way back in October 2002 and when we realised it was Valentine's Day, we decided to incorporate it into the theme and it all took off from there.
"We are having heart shaped balloons and table decorations and heart shaped confetti and all the flower arrangements are going to be in heart shapes too.
"The colour scheme is going to be red and gold to carry the theme on, my grown-up bridesmaid is in dark red and the two little ones will be in gold."
Mr Farr added: "We drew the line at asking all the guests to wear red and gold. We'll leave dress codes to the likes of Posh and Becks."
The couple met at their first job in Trowbridge 12 years ago when they were both just 18, and have been together ever since.
They both moved to different firms in Swindon, where Mr Farr works in operations support for Hewlett Packard.
Miss Gringell said: "We have some family living in the Wootton Bassett direction, but we didn't really think about getting married there until we went to an evening party at Marsh Hall and it was such a lovely venue that we decided it would be there."
The couple will honeymoon in The Maldives.
