TODAY will be especially romantic for bride-to-be Louisa Curtis. Not only has she been crowned the Evening Advertiser Bride of the Year, but her fianc Michael Nestor has something out of the ordinary up his sleeve.
Louisa, 31, thought they would be having a low-key Valentines Day but Michael has organised a mystery trail, with clues leading to little treats.
Michael, 35, said: "It will start off with a bunch of red roses in the bedroom which will direct her to a surprise somewhere else. I have spread the treats around the house.
"She was planning to pop to my mother's house down the road so some of the presents will be there. I've left a single red rose and a chocolate at each clue.
"The last one will be an invite to dinner where I have arranged for a envelope to be delivered to her which will have two tickets to see Cold Mountain. She's been wanting to see that for ages."
The couple have a seven-month old daughter, Aine, and Louisa thinks she and Michael are staying home to look after her.
When asked about her plans, she said: "I don't think we are doing anything this year. It's hard when you have a little person to think of."
Michael proposed on a beach in Jamaica last Easter when Louisa was pregnant with Aine. "We were sitting watching the sunset talking about our future and he just asked if I would marry him, she said.
"I cried and I think that set him off too. We bought the ring the next day. He said he tried to choose one but wanted to make sure it was the right one because I'm so fussy."
The couple, who live in County Road, won a wedding package worth £8,000. Their big day is on Friday, August 21 at St Mark's Church.
