A SWINDON hi-fi store has been forced to close its doors due to lack of business. The chain Richer Sounds shut its store in Commercial Road on Monday after five years.
Henry Griffiths, spokesman for Richer Sounds, said: "This is not a rash decision, but one we have come to after careful consideration. This is also a one-off."
Richer Sounds, which has 47 stores nationwide, first arrived in Swindon five years ago and set up shop in Manchester Road.
Last year the store moved to Commercial Road but business levels proved unsustainable.
The four members of the Swindon staff have all been offered new positions elsewhere with the company.
