GLENN Dance bagged a new car just by opening a packet of crisps. The 45-year-old made the correct crunch decision when choosing a ready salted bag from a multipack.
His son Terry, 17, was chuffed to find he had a voucher to claim a free packet but Glenn was over the moon to see a token telling him he could drive off a new Ford Focus.
Glenn, who has two other sons, David, 19, and Gary, 15, added: "I opened it and there was the winning ticket. I couldn't believe it and the family thought I was winding them up."
Maintenance engineer Glenn, of Grange Park, was presented with his car at Dagenham Motors, Edgware Road in London by former England manager Terry Venables, who stars as a devil in TV adverts for Walkers Crisps.
Glenn and his wife were treated to a lunch in a London restaurant after Terry handed over the keys.
The car will come in handy as Glenn and wife Anne, 43, were looking to sell their 15mpg Chevrolet Blazer 4x4 for a more economical vehicle.
