Ref. 29398-45HIDDEN talent was on display at Ridgeway School, in Wroughton, this week when it hosted its third biannual art exhibition.
The show, which was visited by Swindon Mayor Derek Benfield, included work not just from art students and staff but also from other pupils, different subject teachers and ancillary staff.
Organiser Brian Britton said: "It was a celebration of what the school and its friends can do.
"The idea of trying to include more people is just that it is not a province for the elite."
He said there were about 400 entries in the show, including work from youngsters at primary schools in the area.
"It reflected people's interests and it showed a lot of hidden talent," said Mr Britton, who is the head of art and director of sixth form studies.
"We also have a multi-talented staff."
Ceramic work joined other forms of art, including textiles, photography, painting and drawing, for the first time in the exhibition's history.
