Cirencester collected their first Western Division win over bogey side Mangotsfield in stunning style, coming from behind to triumph 5-1 at Cossham Street.
The hosts had taken the lead against the run of play after half an hour, when a good ball from Danny Haines set Richard Pears free and his powerful low cross, cannoned off of Matthew McEntegart for an own goal.
Mark Bryant produced a superb save to prevent Gareth Hopkins but the former Bath and Chippenham keeper was only delaying the inevitable and Ciren turned the game on its head with two goals in first-half stoppage time.
Andy McCabe's shot was deflected beyond Bryant by Scott Hendy to restore parity and Hopkins then teed up Ben Fitch for Ciren's second from eight yards.
Darren Robison had a seemingly good header ruled out after the break before substitute Shaun Wimble scored a killer third for the visitors with 20 minutes to go.
Picking up a ball from Robison, the midfielder cut inside and unleashed an unstoppable effort beyond Bryant's despairing dive.
Within two minutes Brian Hughes' team made it 4-1 when Marc Richards finished off a great move involving Mark Davis and Scott Griffin.
The demolition of the home side was complete seven minutes from the end when Wimble fired a free-kick into the box and Richards found the back of the net with a tremendous header.
CIRENCESTER: Thompson, Bird, McEntegart, Richards, Mayo, Davis, Robison, McCabe, Hopkins, Griffin, Fitch. Subs: Jackson, Wimble, Bevan.
CIREN'S triumph keeps them hot on the heels of leaders Redditch, who dropped two points in a 1-1 draw at Gloucester.
Rugby United and Team Bath kept up their faint hopes of challenging with 5-1 and 1-0 wins at Cinderford and Clevedon respectively.
Halesowen's aspirations appear to be over after a 1-0 loss at Gresley.
Supermarine's 2-1 win over Stourport lifts them up to 15th.
Second-from-bottom Shepshed picked up a point at home after a 1-1 draw with Taunton.
That result leaves basement dwellers Cinderford seven points adrift.
