Ref. 29222-45THE mysterious case of the Highworth trainers has deepened with their disappearance.
Last week we reported the shoes were hanging 20-ft up a lamppost near a bus stop in Roundhills Mead and wondered how they could have got there. They were thought to have been up there for around a year.
But since our report on February 25, the shoes have been taken down another difficult feat.
A spokesman for Swindon Council said that the trainers were not a priority and that it was unlikely to have been council staff that removed them.
