A brace of spectactular goals from Biddestone's Dean Fry and one from Adie Bray clinched victory for Biddestone, who in turn made it five wins from seven games.

Fry's brace consisted of a 50-yard effort which lobbed the goalkeeper and a fine free-kick struck from 30 yards.

Ashton never gave up and pulled one back on 73 minutes when a well-worked free-kick between Mark Sheppard and his brother Adam saw the latter turn the ball home.

Old Road Tavern and Plough were involved in a seven-goal thriller which the former won 4-3.

A late strike from Gavin Aplin secured the win for Tavern after Plough had taken a two-goal lead courtesy of goals from Gary Taylor and Dave Thomas.

Aplin's long-range effort reduced the gap for the Tavern and Rob Dark converted from the penalty spot to level.

The Plough regained the lead when Martin Griffiths headed home but another Dark penalty brought Tavern level again.

Aplin then crashed home his winner from 20 yards.

Fascia Graphics were the first team this season to finish their fixtures, drawing 1-1 with White Horse.

James Bagnell scored for Horse before Jamie Farquharson grabbed a share of the points for Fascia.
