THE next meeting of the Wiltshire Rural Business Club is on Tuesday, at the George Inn, in Mere.
The event starts at 6pm and guest speaker is Carole Buksh, of Partners in Training, who will talk about credit control and accounts.
The topics will include bad payers, 60/90 day debtors, cash flow problems, large overdrafts and hefty bank charges.
A survey has shown that businesses in the UK are the slowest payers in Europe, the larger firms taking even longer than the smaller ones to pay up.
At the previous meeting, attended by nearly 30 people, Stephen Archer, from the Inland Revenue, talked about completing tax returns and how the latest budget statement would affect businesses.
The AGM, on May 18, will include a talk on the magic of eBay.
