TEENAGE classical singer Charlotte Church took time out from her hectic schedule to relax in Swindon.

The singing sensation, who last month celebrated her 18th birthday amid a blaze of tabloid newspaper headlines, was spotted in the Brunel Rooms nightclub watching UK garage singer- songwriter Gemma Fox perform live last Saturday.

And Ms Church, who was described as "the voice of an angel" when she burst onto the recording and touring scene at the age of 13, did not have to worry about the entrance fee.

Rumours are rife the Welsh-born artist, who became the youngest person to have a number one in the classical charts, inherited a fortune of around £15 million on her birthday the proceeds from royalties and record sales.

But entry to the Havelock Square club last Saturday was free before 11pm and £6 for non-members after.

Ms Church did not have far to travel either. Born in Llandaff, near Cardiff, the journey to Swindon is little over an hour on the M4.

Brunel Rooms spokeswoman Zoe Miller said: "She was having a great night dancing with her friends.

"She looked very pretty and was well behaved, polite and friendly to everybody."
