CHIPPENHAM boss Steve White is calling on fans to turn out in force for his team's vital game at home to league leaders Crawley Town on Saturday.

Town's 2-0 win at Grantham has moved the club out of the bottom four and into the play-offs for the new Conference Two next year but White knows his men must keep their run going.

"This is abig game for us and we will be going all out to win it, we won't be thinking about playing for a draw,'' he said.

Crawley had a Dr Martens record 4,500 crowd at home last Saturday to see them beat Weymouth 2-1 and take top spot.

"They will probably bring 500 on Saturday,'' said White. "What we need is for 1,000 of our own fans to turn up and outchant them, that would be a fantastic atmosphere and it would really lift the players.''

Chippenham will start underdogs but White believes the form book goes out of the window as nerves at both ends of the table begin to jangle.

"No team is unbeatable in this league. Crawley lost twice to Dorchester, who were beaten 8-0 by Weymouth,'' he said.

"Crawley's form has not been that good away from home. Our confidence is high after the last two wins. There is a great spirit in the dressing room at the minute.

"If we can get the backing from the people of the town we belive we can win this.''

The manager will be boosted by the return of defender Colin Towler, who has been nursing a back injury. He was rested at Grantham even though he had receovered sufficiently to play.

"We just thought we would be sensible and give him an extra week's rest,'' said White.

Worse news for White is that influential midfielder Mark Badman is struggling to be fit after picking up a hamstring injury against Grantham.

Midfielder Ian Herring has had tonsilitis but should be fit.
