SIXTIES rock and ballad heart-throb Craig Douglas will be performing in Marlborough on March 20.
Douglas will be headlining a rock and rhythm and blues concert organised by the Rotary Club to raise funds for a sitting out area for patients and visitors at the new Savernake Hospital.
Supporting acts will include Davy Graham, former lead vocalist with the Tornadoes who will be backed by The Myx, an eight piece band whose members have played with a variety of big stars, including Paul McCartney and Jools Holland.
Mick Allport from Marlborough, saxophonist with The Myx, has previously played with the London Symphony Orchestra and with a number of bands.
Wrinkly rockers will recall Craig Douglas in his heyday when his hits including Only Sixteen, A Teenager in Love and A Hundred Pounds of Clay.
This will be the first time that Douglas has performed in Marlborough and Rotarian Phil Payne said it was expected tickets would sell fast.
