G SCOTT'S letter of February 25 on query on fighting ships in book called All the World's Fighting Fleets 6th edition, HMS Malcolm was Campbell class 1,500 tons 332 feet overall. Five 4.7 inch guns. One 3inch AA. Six (triple) deck torpedo tubes 40,000 SHP giving 36.5 knots. Complement 180. Completed in 1918/1919. HMS Bideford Hasting Class 1,105 tons 16 1/2 knots. Two 4inch AA. Built 1930/31. Some of this class were surveying vessels.
