Probably the most important event this year is the National March to take place in London on March 20. It marks a year since the commencement of war in Iraq and the continued disruption to the lives of its beleagured peoples.
It will be part of the global day of action to remind President Bush and Prime Minister Blair that the majority of the world do not support them.
In major cities around the globe, citizens will be manifesting their growing concerns at the chaotic aftermath of the initial violence. They are calling for the respect of International Law and reformation and realistic financing of the UN to enable it to achieve its first aim in the charter "saving succeeding generations from the scourge of war".
It is planned that a coach will leave Devizes at 9am and will pick up
passengers in Marlborough en route. Please join us in reflecting the words of Margaret Mead: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.
Indeed it is the only thing that ever does". The contact number for more details is (01380) 812294.
