THERE are still no plans to build another doctors' surgery in Westbury, despite the town's growing population.
This was the message from health bosses on Thursday as they were quizzed at a public meeting.
Eastleigh Surgery in Station Road is the only doctors in Westbury. With hundreds of new homes still to be built on the town's Leigh Park estate some residents fear seeing a GP could become increasingly difficult if no changes are implemented.
Dr Richard Edwards, chairman of West Wiltshire Primary Care Trust's executive committee, said that for now there was some more space at Westbury hospital.
Dr Edwards, who is also a GP at Eastleigh Surgery, said: "We still have time to think. The extra space is going to be sufficient until we come up with a plan."
