YOUNG dads got the chance to talk about their experiences and get some help and advice on fatherhood at the weekend.
The Wiltshire Youth Arts Partnerships ran a day of workshops to celebrate fatherhood and to help young fathers become more involved in bringing up their children.
Wiltshire County Council's youth arts co-ordinator, Angela Stribling, said: "There has always been help for young mums in terms of mothers groups and mother and toddler groups, with no support for fathers who often feel left out of the process. This project aims to help young dads become more involved."
The aim was to create an atmosphere where the young men could learn new parenting skills and build up self-esteem while also having fun and being creative.
The project, funded by the Wiltshire Teenage Pregnancy Fund, plans to hold more events and there is still room for more fathers to join.
