A SLAPSTICK panto-mime packed with mobile phone gaffs and starring employees from a Trowbridge company has raised £2,500 for a children's charity.
Staff at Virgin Mobile wrote, directed, produced and starred in their own version of Aladdin on stage at the Arc Theatre last month.
This year's funds were donated to the British Institute for Brain Injured Children the charity chosen by Virgin Mobile staff.
Cameo performances by senior management staff and a series of mobile phone jokes written into the script ensured big audiences for the show's four-day run.
Virgin community liaison co-ordinator, Lisa Cogdell-Brown, said: "It was a fantastic amount to raise.
"We have several events planned in the pipeline to raise more in the coming weeks for Cancer Research."
A team of 11 will form the Virgin Mobile team in Sunday's Bath Half Marathon.
The company is holding two fundraising days when staff will dress up and take part in office raffles and tombolas on March 31 and April 3.
Mrs Cogdell-Brown said: "If something comes up with fundraising our staff are always good at getting involved and giving it their best shot.
"We're proud of them they are a pretty good bunch."
