World War II was fought for many reasons, not least against a vile racism which murdered people for being born other than fair-haired and blue-eyed. Was it entirely in vain?
You reported on March 5 that taxi drivers may give up their living because of racist taunts.
Who are these hooligans, as ill-mannered as they are ignorant?
If racism were dead we would not need to finance an organisation like the Racial Equality Council, which deals with more incidents than are reported.
Pensioners who feel hard done by with the increase on local council tax should look to the way councils are funded. Scapegoating is easy.
