ANDY KING insists a Town victory today could spark a realistic tilt at the Division Two title but defeat would leave the Pilgrims 'uncatchable'.
The County Ground boss knows no prizes will be handed out at 4.45pm but admits the outcome could make the promotion picture a good deal clearer.
He said: "It's a massive game, a mini cup final. If we win this one then I'll be talking about automatic promotion and the title.
"If we lose it, we can't win the league. We'll be looking at catching Bristol City.
"A victory for us would narrow the gap to seven points but if it goes the other way it becomes 13 and I think that's uncatchable.
"This game is the one which will tell me if we're 'there' and that the 'impossible' could happen, in terms of us winning the league.
"We're not scared of going anywhere. I have players who will get in the team of the year at the end of the season and players that other clubs in this division would want to buy.
"We have quality and if the commitment, work rate, endeavour and luck are there, we can beat anyone in this league.
"Plymouth beat us at home and we are capable of going there and beating them. We'll be up for the game and with 18,000 there, the atmosphere will be extra motivation, if any were needed."
King, definitely without the services of Stefani Miglioranzi, is expected to push Andy Gurney into midfield with Alan Reeves slotting in alongside Matt Heywood, although another option would be for David Duke to slot straight into the New Yorker's role.
King knows one member of Argyle's midfield well. David Norris joined a largely unknown striker called Sam Parkin as a new face at Town's 2002-3 pre-season training camp in Southport.
A move to Wiltshire never materialised and Norris has since become a firm favourite at Plymouth.
King said: "I was going to bring him in. I wanted a goalscoring midfielder at the time and David Norris was it."
