SHERBORNE were given an almighty scare before wrapping up a 25-14 victory over a much-changed Corsham side in Dorset & Wilts Division One.
The leaders grabbed a try inside the first five minutes but then found themselves stretched by a determined Corsham effort.
Three penalties from fly-half Haydn Brockhurst and a Sam Davis try hauled Corsham back into the game at 15-14, but a 'crooked feed' call denied the home side a good chance after a spell of pressure, and further curious refereeing decisions thwarted them.
A penalty and try in the final five minutes eventually made the game safe for a relieved Sherborne.
