CHILDREN in Purton will be able to enjoy a new bouncy castle thanks to some bizarre fundraising stunts.
Purton Extreme Sports Team Pest raised £3,000 through a pram race around the village and a tug of war competition last September.
Villagers donned fancy dress and propelled prams around a three-mile route taking in the village's six drinking holes, where they had to have a drink.
Last April, Pest organised a tug of war contest at the Ghost Train pub.
The event is being repeated this year at the Red House Playing Fields in Purton on May 2.
Teams of eight are invited to enter and you do not need to be from the village
The group will present the bouncy castle to the Purton Helping Hands charity on Thursday at St Mary's Primary School at 6pm when children will have a chance to try it out.
