SPRINGBOK centre Robbie Fleck is on course for a Bath comeback after successfully negotiating a brief run-out in the second string's weekend triumph over London Irish.
Fleck, who fractured his ankle during the victory against Gloucester at Kingsholm back in November, delighted head coach John Connolly with his showing during the 36-3 victory.
Connolly said: "I was pleased with Robbie's performance.
"The next target is to give him a run in the second team game against Quins on March 29.
"It is a case of gently does it but he needs to steadily build his game time."
There is also good news for Matt Perry, who has fully recovered from an operation to free a nerve in his groin and resumes training this week.
Connolly added: "Matt is a great club man and he has been very positive throughout.
"I understand that he is making excellent progress and we hope to see him back soon."
Remarkably, three-quarter Lee Best is also running again after a knee reconstruction late last year.
"Lee is making a remarkable recovery," said Connolly.
"He is well ahead of schedule, is incredibly motivated and wants to be back before the season is over."
Best added: "The goal is to get some game time before the end of the season, but we will have to wait and see how things unfold.''
