Ref. 29464-49WHAT does this photograph illustrate?
a) That if you are manoeuvring a van in a first floor workshop, you should be careful not to slam it into reverse by mistake.
b) That if you are transporting a van in a cargo aircraft, you should secure it well.
c) That if you want to publicise your van business, having one sticking out of the wall is a good bet.
The third answer is the correct one, as Tom Gallagher, owner of the M4 Van Centre near the Great Western Hospital, knows only too well.
Mr Gallagher, 49, said: "It makes people talk about the business, and we have even had lots of people stop to take photographs."
The van, originally a write off with severe front end damage, was cut in half by Mr Gallagher and then a frame attached to the front.
The frame is securely bolted to the workshop floor on the other side of the hole Mr Gallagher cut in the wall.
Mr Gallagher said: "I did the job myself I just fancied doing it.
"The van was lifted into place with a forklift and then the hole was filled in around it with cement."
