WOMEN from across Swin-don are being urged to dust off their trainers and start preparing for this summer's Race For Life.
Last year 2,115 women entered the Swindon event, raising £140,000 for Cancer Research UK, but the charity wants to do even better this year.
Organisers are hoping the race, on Sunday, June 6 at Lydiard Country Park, will bring in 2,700 participants.
This year's target has been set at £185,000.
Women can run, jog or walk the 5km course by themselves or in a team.
Swindon's race is one of 150 taking place across the country.
Anyone wanting to enter should call 08705 134314 or visit www.raceforlife.org. The entry fee is £8.50.
