GAZETTE & HERALD: An environmental workshop will be held in Calne tonight to help residents compost their waste.
Wiltshire Wildlife Trust project officer Maggie McDonald said the trust would like to train people to become compost ambassadors, advising others on composting problems and solutions.
The workshop, held at Marden House at 7.30pm, follows a trust survey which shows 70 per cent of people compost their biodegradable rubbish and 12 per cent would be happy to encourage others to do so.
Ms McDonald said: "We want people to come to the workshops because we would love to hear their ideas. Even if you cannot devote any time to a project, you may have useful suggestions on how your community can work with wildlife, promote energy efficiency or cut down on rubbish."
The trust hopes to set up a group of enthusiasts prepared to run a project with the support of WWT staff.
