ENGLAND'S Test series in the West Indies may now be up and running, but cricket action a little closer to home is also taking shape.
With the 2004 season fast approaching, the area's leading club, South Wilts CC, are now well into their winter training.
Indoor nets are being held each Sunday at Chafyn Grove School from 3-5pm and first team captain Rob Wade has issued an invitation to anyone interested in playing for the club to contact him.
The Wilton Road-based outfit will be running four senior Saturday sides this summer - in Southern League Premier One, Southern Premier Three, Hampshire County Two and Hampshire County West.
A full Sunday fixture list is also planned.
Wade said would-be players should contact him on 07799 627861 .
