GAZETTE & HERALD: Residents of an ecologically sensitive development in Quemerford are angry because a pumping station has been built in front of their homes.
Phil Williams, of Lake View, said residents are furious that Wessex Water has placed the fenced-off pumping station on the green.
The houses were built by David Wilson Homes who worked closely with local conservationists.
Mr Williams said: "They are doing all these things to look after the environment and then they stick this right in the middle of the green."
A spokesman for David Wilson Homes said that it had wanted to landscape the area around the pumping station but this had not been possible for health and safety reasons.
Other ways of minimising the visual impact of the pumping station are being investigated.
