YOUTH RUGBY: IN poor weather conditions, Chippenham won the toss and decided to kick-off. Ten minutes went by before the scoring opened with a try by Neil Jenkins.
Bath took their first kick-off and the ball was run straight back.
Chippenham kept the ball tight and retained possession to score two more tries by Jenkins and one from Shane Mitchell, with conversions to match.
The second half brought out a more disciplined Bath side eager to retain possession but the tackling by the Chippenham side was up to the task and prevented Bath from scoring.
A fine try by prop Harry Neil put the icing on the cake for Chippenham. The conversions were kicked by Jake Emery (4) and Harry Smith.

FROM the whistle Bath pressed forward testing the Rhinos defence. A textbook pass out to the wing exposed a gap and Bath would have scored but for a knock-on.
This spurred the Rhinos and although going in at half-time down by one try they began the second half matching the Bath team for passion and spirit. As the weather deteriorated, a test of strength developed in the middle of the pitch with lock Charlie Wiseman leading the charge. Another try by the visitors sealed the game.

Will Mackenzie had a darting run to out fox the defence and went over in style for Rhinos second.
Clifton, still looking for the break, powered through for their try but the Rhinos smelled victory and as conditions worsened hooker Harry Ford broke away to score.

PUMAS coach Paul Miller congratulated the boys on all aspects of their play but felt that their tackling had let them down. A good win for the visitors.
Chippenham Sharks 0 Clifton A 5
UNDER pressure in their own half from the first whistle, the Sharks had to find the determination so prevalent in their last game against Trowbridge.
Camped on the Chippenham line for much of the first half, Bas Parfitt's tackles frustrated the Clifton attack more than once.
Persistence did reward them and the only try of the match was scored shortly before half-time. The tables were then turned as Chippenham turned their backs to the wind and took up residence on the Clifton line for most of the second half.
Luke Gorman was intercepted more than once as he strived to find the line.

CLIFTON fielded a strong team tand scored directly from the kick-off.
But Chippenham responded immediately with a good try from Dominic MacKenzie.
Clifton came back to take the lead which seemed to sting The Eagles into a more co-ordinated period of play which saw them respond by runnning in three successive tries.
In the second half The Eagles tookcontrol of the game. They scored a further six tries to Clifton's four, with James Gaunt scoring half of them.
