GAZETTE & HERALD: SIXTH form student Sarah Barrow will be packing bags at Chippenham's Sainsbury's store on Saturday to raise money for a gap year teaching in India.
Sarah, 17, from Buckingham Road, who will also be packing bags on April 3 at Somerfield in Chippenham, hopes to raise £3,850 so she can travel to Andhra Pradesh and teach secondary school children, from August.
The trip has been organised through the educational charity Project Trust and Sarah will live and work for a year in India.
Sarah, who will be taking A Levels in English, drama and history this summer at Sheldon School, has already raised £1,500 through events at school and she has organised a raffle to further help the fundraising.
She was selected after a four-day Project Trust course.
The raffle offers a digital camera, a DVD player and a meal for two as prizes. The draw will take place on May 31. To buy raffle tickets or sponsor Sarah call (01249) 444988 or email India@sazsheep.co.uk
