CHIPPENHAM NEWS: AGRICULTURAL engineering students and staff at Wiltshire College Lackham overhauled a tractor to raise money for charity.
Twelve students and three members of staff took part in the 24-hour tractor strip on Wednesday, which saw a Massey Ferguson 590 tractor completely rebuilt and refurbished.
The challenge, which started at 6am, was expected to raise between £600 and £1,000 for Teenage Cancer Research.
A college spokesman said: "This is the sixth year in succession that students have undertaken this charity strip.
Tractor spare parts supplier Sparex Ltd sponsored all the parts for the overhaul.
The students, aged 16 and 17, are studying the first year of a national diploma in agricultural engineering.
