CHIPPENHAM NEWS: HOT-STEPPING pupils at Corsham Primary School got to sample some new rhythms on Friday with the visit of an Indian dance teacher.
Hilary Wrack of the h.e.arts@minds group travelled from London to put the school's two Year 5 classes through their paces.
The dance sessions are a regular feature in the calendar and class teachers Amy Tapscott and Rebecca Palmer said the youngsters warmed to the occasion.
The children spent the day creating a dance to narrate an ancient Indian story called the Mahabarat before finishing up with a performance.
Pupils' comments included: "It was hard work, but great fun and the end dance was fantastic" and "I enjoyed the fighting sequences."
One pupil said: "It was very exciting to use our bodies to tell the story through dance."
