FLAK continues to fly over west Wiltshire health bosses' decision to endorse Lafarge's plan to burn re-cycled liquid fuel in Westbury.
Last month West Wiltshire Primary Care Trust said it did not have enough evidence to oppose the planned trial.
This decision is likely to have a big impact on the Environment Agency's final verdict, which is due by April 30.
Campaigners argue the PCT has let them down and are determined to continue their fight.
Bryan White, of Bury Lane, Bratton, has written to health secretary John Reid to voice his anger at the decision.
He claims the French health authority has not allowed Lafarge to burn RLF in its home country and feels it is ironic that it could do so in Britain.
David Davis, of Upland Rise, Westbury, said: "Because there is no evidence that something is unsafe that does not mean it's safe.
"We now have a situation where the PCT has given the go-ahead using the local population as guinea pigs."
