A Westbury boss is facing the prospect of jail after admitting distributing child pornography over the internet.

Timothy Wakely admitted making an indecent image of a child on October 2, 2002, as well as distributing one six weeks later.

The 33-year-old also admitted distributing an indecent picture in December 2002 but that charge will not be proceeded with.

Robert Davies, prosecuting, said the most serious matter was the charge of distributing a picture, which was admitted.

He said it related to a video image which was downloaded by the police from Wakely's computer via the Kazaa system.

The similar charge, which was denied, referred to files the police tried and failed to download from his system, but were suspicious about because of the file's name. He said that matter would be left to lie on file.

A CD Rom was also recovered from Wakely when he was arrested and it was found to have the image that led to the charge of making an indecent picture.

James Patrick, defending, said Wakely, of Hayward Place, employed 15 people and had medical issues which should be looked into. He said he also wanted to know what the impact would be on his client's business.

Adjourning the case for pre-sentence reports Judge Tom Longbotham told Wakely: "I am sure you have been advised this, all sentencing options are open."
