So what do you actually do? I help people achieve their career goals by working with them usually on a one-to-one basis. I also manage the Swindon patch for Penna including how we deliver our services and client development.

What do you hate most about your job and why? There's nothing I hate. Can't say I'm too keen on the paperwork but that goes with most jobs.

Do you think your colleagues like you? I think so! I tend to get on fine with most people and I don't think I've upset anyone recently.

What's the best bit of advice you have ever been given? Always wear lipstick in work situations; it boosts your confidence and your professional image.

What's the best bit of gossip you have ever heard about yourself? There was once quite a stir when I was included as an attendee at a meeting as Kate Moss rather than Kate Mills. There were some disappointed guys I think when I walked in!

What job did you want to do when you were young and why? I always enjoyed organising others to do things so I was probably made to be a consultant.

If you could have a dream job, what would it be? Running my own business, with no financial worries, on a part-time basis with masses of success. I can dream!

Hobbies: Roller blading, ice skating, swimming and running round after a large family.

In job terms, who or what has been your greatest influence and why?

One of my previous bosses was an inspirational leader who made work fun and helped me believe in what I could achieve.
