WILTSHIRE Wildlife Trust is looking for volunteers to help protect the environment while taking part in a fun event. The Sarsen Trail is a 26-mile hike from Avebury to Stonehenge that has raised over £30,000 in recent years.

The event is due to take place on May 2 and people are being asked to register by April 14.

The Trust is Wiltshire's biggest environmental charity, working across the county to help protect wild animals and plants.

Spokesman Sheila Martin said: "We want as many people as possible to register for the Sarsen Trail, collect a sponsor form, and ask all your friends, colleagues and relations to pledge money."
