ANGRY councillors in Warminster are calling for a public meeting to discuss allegations ambulance bosses are neglecting the town to improve response times.
Cllr Paul Batchelor claims an ambulance crew is only based in Warminster if there are six other crews on call across the district and that there is a heavy bias towards Trowbridge.
He alleges this is to ensure the county's ambulance service meets Government overall response targets despite the effect it could have on times in Warminster.
Members feel this is unacceptable and that residents' healthcare is being put at risk unnecessarily.
Cllr David Lovell said: "I think we have a right to ask for the response times from the Warminster area."
