WARMINSTER looks like losing out on a state-of-the-art toilet refurbishment after town councillors expressed concern over the cost of the £100,000 project.
Award-winning loo company InterPublic Urban Systems' planned revamp for the central car park facilities includes larger urinals, two new baby changers and an access canopy.
But for the luxury refurbishment to get the green light West Wiltshire District Council will need financial help from Warminster Town Council.
On Monday town councillors were reluctant to part-fund what they felt was an excessive amount and are now likely to ask the district council to go for a less expensive option.
Members also felt it was vital that the improved facility should cater for disabled visitors with a hoist system and have earmarked cash for that instead.
Cllr Veronica Burden said: "It would only be an extra cost of £1,000. We really need to address this problem."
