Ref. 14827/3SHOPPERS packed the streets of Bradford on Avon for a spring fair to boost weekend takings for shops in the town.
Several shops had promotions arranged for the event to encourage people in and it paid off, with many reporting an increase in customers for Saturday's fair.
The Chamber of Commerce event takes place each year with stalls in the street and entertainment in Westbury Gardens.
Chamber of Commerce president Caroline Philpott said: "It was a lovely day and we were lucky with the weather.
"I feel business in the town is really gaining in momentum at the moment and the profile of the Chamber of Commerce is growing.
"Various groups have approached me about doing joint projects in the town like having musicians in coffee shops rather than hiding them away so I think there will be lots more events like this in the future."
Crowds were entertained by an Irish dancing display in Westbury Gardens and morris dancers in The Shambles.
Mrs Philpott said: "A day like this is all about getting extra people into the heart of the town and keeping them there for longer and all the extras like Irish and morris dancers help do that.
"It's great for people to see the community of Bradford working together and working so well.
"It is a good chance for everybody who owns shops here to aim for with maybe a clear-up or a new window display."
