If you have ever wondered about the secret life of the plants and insects of Cotswold Water Park, then an illustrated talk will be right up your street.
Gloucestershire Naturalists Society will present the talk exploring what goes on in a typical year.
The Cotswold Water Park supports a diverse and rich array of plant life.
Grassland and hay meadows are rich in orchids, while lakes have been designated for their aquatic plants.
In addition, the park is buzzing with insect life and is regionally important for the high numbers of dragonflies and damselflies.
Up to 20 different species exist around the park, while there is also a number of rare butterfly species.
Many of the species found in the water park are relatively uncommon elsewhere in the country, highlighting the area's importance.
The talk starts at 7.30pm at The Millennium Visitors Centre, Keynes Country Park, on Thursday.
