A TELEVISION film company is looking for World War Two veterans in the Swindon area to take part in a documentary to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the ending of the war, which falls next year.
Testimony Films wants to tell the stories of servicemen and women throughout the south west who were involved in action overseas.
Spokeswoman Clair Titley said: "We are looking for people who may have a story to tell about the real horror or sadness of war, or a particular tale about true comradeship or bravery."
She wants to hear from people who served in the RAF, Army, Royal Navy or Merchant Navy, or as a nurse, prisoner-of-war or even secret service agent during the war.
More than 20,000 from the West Country served in the Army during the war and one in eight lost their lives one of the highest casualty rates.
This part of the country was also well represented in the other military services.
Testimony Films is making the documentary for HTV. To take part write to Clair at Testimony Films, 12 Great George Street, Bristol.
