VOLUNTEERS are being urged to hot-foot it to a charity challenge to walk over hot coals.

A Fire Walk Challenge will be held outside Swindon's old Town Hall in Regent Street.

About 100 people are needed to overcome their fears and walk down the fiery pathway at the event on Friday, April 23, in aid of GWR FM's community trust and Age Concern Swindon.

There will be a carnival atmosphere throughout the evening event with street performers, live music and children's entertainment from 6pm. Each team member will take part in a two-hour fire walk training session.

Jacquie Sheppard, fundraising manager for Age Concern Swindon said: "I think this is a superb way to encourage local companies and groups of friends to raise money for local charities."

If you are interested in taking up the challenge then call 01793 842600.
