Ref. 29605-1FLOWERS were laid and silent tributes paid across Swindon in memory of murdered mother Linda Razzell.
The Highworth mother-of-four vanished exactly two years ago yesterday after parking her car in Alvescot Road, as she usually did before going to work.
But her estranged husband Glyn, with whom she was involved in bitter divorce proceedings, abducted her and bundled her bloodied body into the back of a car he borrowed from a friend that day.
He is now serving life imprisonment after a jury at Bristol Crown Court unanimously decided he killed her. Her body has never been found.
Linda's boyfriend, Greg Worrall, last night arranged for St Michael's and All Angels Church, in Highworth, to be lit up in her honour.
And, in a moving tribute, a victim of domestic violence now working for the Swindon Women's Refuge laid a bunch of flowers in the alleyway connecting Alvescot Road and Upham Road the alleyway in which it is believed Razzell abducted his wife before disposing of her body.
Jenni Manners, the manager of Swindon Women's Refuge, said: "Laying flowers was an act of remembrance, a tribute to Linda to show she is not forgotten."
On Mothers' Day Linda's four children Catherine, Matthew, Robin and Emma will lay flowers at their grandparents' graves in Camarthen, South Wales, where their mother's cousin, Julie Westmore, is caring for them.
