THE courage of the south west's lifeboatmen and women is to be the subject of a special film evening at the Steam Museum.
Matt Lane, a former crew member of the St Agnes Lifeboat, in Cornwall, is to give a talk about his experiences with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
Lifeboat crews save hundreds of lives each year, as well as offering seafarers advice on how to avoid getting into difficulties.
The service is funded largely by donations from the public and other charitable organisations.
The talk on March 31 at themuseum in Kemble Drive, starts at 7.45pm. Admission is free. Further details can be obtained from Sheila Lloyd on 0117 944 4999.
