GROUPS and societies are desperately needed for a neighbourhood open day in Penhill.
No local organisations have yet come forward to take part in the event on April 1. The Penhill Forum is holding the day to let residents know more about services available to them.
There will be information on computer courses, adult education, recycling, environmental aware-ness, housing and Lottery funding. Marilyn Beale, secretary of the Penhill Forum, said: "We will have a lot of information on offer, but I'm extremely disappointed that no community groups have offered to take part.
"It will be an opportunity for them to recruit new members."
The open day runs at St Peter's Church, Penhill Drive between 10am and noon, and then from 2pm to 4pm.
Call 01793 331516 for more details or to become one of the community groups taking part.
