MORE than 650 children from across the borough will take part in Swindon's Junior Music Festival today at the Oasis Leisure Centre.
The event is an annual celebration of music and youth organised by the council's music centre.
The theme for the festival is Tudor Britain and some of the songs being performed are from Kyngham Games, a book of songs written and composed by Alan Simmons.
The conductor for the evening will be Val Weston.
Accompanying the choirs will be a quartet of musicians made up of Frances Coulridge on keyboard, Andy Griffiths on drums, Darren Hunt on the electric guitar and Steve Parker on bass.
Also included in the festival is a performance by the Brass Roadshow, which consists of teachers from the Swindon Music Co-operative.
