THERE were victories for the Salisbury men's and ladies hockey teams at the weekend, with the ladies playing their best hockey of the season to thrash higher-placed Bristol-based BAC 11-0, a side that were top a month ago.
Chris Rowland Jones got the scoring underway with a penalty, and she added three more in a star performance.
Lisa Lovatt, Linda Scrace, Miranda MacTaggart, Kim Wood and Clare Fanner also got on the scoresheet.
They end their season at Minehead on Saturday, hoping to make it nine games unbeaten.
The men beat Southampton University 1st XI 5-2, also at home, in Hampshire Division One.
The visitors turned up late and Salisbury were in a mood to punish them,
Alan Cosens putting them ahead. Southampton equalised before half time, but Andy Grandfield, Ben Croxall and James Whittle racked up a 4-1 lead.
Duncan Saunsbury finished off a flowing move for the game's last goal.
Salisbury's final league game is at Haslemere next week, and their Wiltshire Cup final versus Marlborough in Devizes will take place on Saturday, April 3 (3pm).
