THE Myasthenia Gravis Association is holding a meeting to try to set up a Wiltshire branch.
Myasthenia gravis is a debilitating illness where anti bodies block the muscular triggering system in the body.
The more a sufferer with the illness tries to move, the floppier their muscles become.
The illness affects people of all ages and it is estimated there are around 100 sufferers in Wiltshire.
The charity is holding a support meeting on Friday April 2 at the Yeoman Room, Corn Exchange, Devizes, from 10am to 12noon.
Sufferers, their families and carers are welcome to attend and full information will be available.
Regional organiser Rita Goldthorp said: "The MGA are very keen to bring people together as the illness can make sufferers feel very isolated.
She said: "We hope that this meeting will be the first of many."
